For this 4-months project at Tokyo Wonder Site Hongo, newspapers were delivered to the gallery on a daily basis from newspaper companies in rural parts of Japan. These newspapers were piled up on the table and visitors were free to take and read them. The work reveals a perspective on domestic and global affairs from a decentralized view, and over the time the pile of newspapers grows into a monument as if it is often on display in capitals.
In the pile, there is no Tokyo-based newspaper, all the newspapers are from the outskirts and represent Tokyo with their perspectives. The following newspapers are being delivered to Tokyo Wonder Site hongo:

トウキョウワンダーサイトの 「OS-XX 〜都市未来のオペレーション・システムへの 序章〜」 展覧会にて、「a capital」という作品を出品した。 展覧会中、沖縄タイムス、琉球新報をはじめ、長崎新聞、河北新聞、中国新聞、北海道新聞社の朝刊が東京の展覧会会場に毎日配達され、会場の設置されたテーブルの上に束ねられる作品だった。 来場者はその束ねられた新聞を自由に観覧、メモできる。 あるジャーナリストの言葉で、地方の情報に日本の本当の姿があるという。 東京ワンダーサイトで出品した、「a capital」は、観覧できる内容は６社だけの地方の情報だが、 地域の日本達から作る、自然な日本のモニュメントである。
